Ocampo’s Big Day | Play 
The voices of ordinary Kenyans who were victims of the post election violence may be heard in the international criminal court after all. A letter from the Icc to justice minister Mutula Kilonzo indicates that Icc chief prosecutor Louis Moreno Ocampo will be issuing a 30 day notice for victims to testify at the Icc pre trial chamber next Friday. He will also be presenting the evidence that he has gathered so far to the three judge trial chamber which will then decide whether or not Ocampo should proceed with the prosecution of the suspected masterminds of the post election violence. At least 1500 were killed and close to 600, 000 others displaced in the post election violence.

Nema On Noise Pollution | Play

That is what will happen once the national environmental management authority regulations come into force next week in a move geared to get a handle on noise pollution in the country. The regulation handbook stipulates that those who think they may go above the acceptable noise levels have to acquire license from nema at a cost. Moi On Devolution | Play 
Former president Daniel Moi now says that devolved government as proposed in the draft constitution would render the country broke as it is not in a position to sustain such a system. Moi who was speaking at the graduation ceremony at kabarak university says that the system was tried once in 1963 and did not work saying that Kenyans should instead vote for a constitution that unites them.

Land Conference | Play 
Members of parliament drawn from various house committees together with stakeholders have proposed that the national land policy should provide for title deeds that were acquired irregularly to be declared null and void. The permanent secretary in the ministry of lands, Dorothy Angote has expressed confidence that the proposed land policy will be implemented. She was speaking while attending a land reforms workshop on the sessional paper on a national land policy held in Mombasa.
